The flight to KK was all right. There’s really nothing much to complain or praise about. You now have to sit according to your seat numbers in all Air Asia flights. Their Hot Seat cost 7 USD, which I think is rip off. It’s another way for them to make additional money.
Rene and I manage to get a couple of minutes of sleep but were rudely awaken by a bunch of over zealous soon to be Mount KK climbers. With nothing much to do we took some pictures of the view from the plane and of us as well.

Once we checked-in into Kota Kinabalu Daya Hotel, we had to find something to eat as we were starving. Here is my first official meal in KK at Kedai Kopi Yuan Li.

I had some delicious fish ball noodle soup while Rene had dry fish noodles for lunch.

Now with our tummy filled, the four of us (Danny, Celynna, Rene and I) decided to explore KK town, while waiting for the rest to arrive.

We visited SAFMA, one of the ports used by the fisherman to bring in their catch for the day.

A war memorial. We decided to take pictures of it since it looks like a historical site.

Once the rest arrived (Ken, Bau, Sze Min, Chee Seng, Kok Weng and Priscilla) it’s time to head over to Zen Garden. It took us roughly 2 hours to get there. Thank god no one puke in the van during the whole journey there (hint hint).

2 Mountain Dogs…lol

After 20 minutes drive from the rest stop we finally arrived at Zen Garden. Here is a group shot with mountains behind us. The groups consist of (from left to right): Kok Weng, Priscilla, Ken, Bau, Sze Min, Chee Seng, Danny, Celynna, Yue Jeen and Sharene.

Some random shots of scenery surrounding Zen Garden.

We had our dinner, wash up, slept and was ready for the next day.
