Anoop Desai was voted through to the TOP 9. Well done Anoop!

But not Michael Sarver – I will miss him. He’s one of the most sincere performers. American Idol need more contestants like him.

Up to this point, not everyone’s safe. Even after Matt Giraud’s splendid consistent performance, he still failed to impress the American audience last night.

It’s going to be tough, next week.

The First Round Begins – Michael Jackson Week

And yes, American Idol has officially started. Tonight, was a tribute to Michael Jackson – the king of pop. Each contestant picks their own song choice and leaves their fate to all Americans.

I really like the guys performance tonight. But I was slightly disappointed over Anoop’s rendition of “Beat It”. It was really bland for my taste. Danny’s “PYT” was awesome stuff and so was Matt’s “Human Nature”.

I can’t seem to make up my mind who took me away with their performance. But for now, it will be Danny Gokey.
